Obituary for Hazel M. (Millman) Lemer
Hazel M. (Millman) Lemer, 98 of Bellevue, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Mill Valley Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellevue. A visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue and again Tuesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in LaMotte.

Hazel was born May 20, 1920 in Jackson County, Iowa the daughter of Lewis and Bertha (Sisler) Millman. She married Justin Hingtgen in 1938 and later married John Lemer, he passed in February 1972. Hazel worked at Clinton Engines, and as a salesclerk for Sears for many years. She loved her flower garden and always enjoyed family gatherings, especially the holidays.

Survivors include her children, Leland (Joan) Hingtgen, Sharon (Gene) Konrardy, Don Lemer all of Bellevue, and Diane (Steve) Dougherty of Dubuque; a daughter in-law, Ruth Hingtgen; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; 2 sons, Eldon Lemer and Lloyd “Butch” Hingtgen; siblings, Oscar (Mildred) Millman and Mildred (Chuck) Celsi.

The family would like to thank the Nurses and Aids at Mill Valley Care Center and Hospice of Jackson County for your care of our mother.

A memorial fund has been established in Hazel’s memory.
