Michael Joseph Jones, 38, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on August 22, 2018, at his home in Maquoketa.

A natural journey farewell with cremation has taken place. No public services are planned at this time. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.

Michael Joseph Jones was born on April 12, 1980 in California to Bruce Allen and Debra Ann (Farr) Jones. He attended Maquoketa schools and later obtained his GED from Dennison Jobs Corps. For the past five years he had worked at Brad Deery Motors in Maquoketa as a detailer.

He was known as a gentle, caring person and social butterfly who got along with everyone.

Those left to honor his memory include his father, Bruce Jones of Surprise, AZ; sisters, Tamara "Tami" Shady of Maquoketa, and Shiloh Bennett of Bellevue, IA; and a niece and nephew, Haley and Kyle Shady. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
