Death of David Lynch

David Lynch died at the family at the family residence, near Bernard, at 6 o'clock a.m. Nov 30 1926. He was a son of James Lynch and was born in Ireland, December 15, 1843. He came to this country with his parents in 1850 and has lived upon the same farm, settled by his father, for past 71 years.

He was married July 16, 1876 to Margaret McCarthy at St. Patrick’s church, Garry Owen.

His wife and the following children, James and Loretta, of Des Moines; Mrs. Wm. Folk and William of Waterloo; Mrs. William Selke, of Chicago; Joseph, of Dubuque; Mrs. Mary McCarthy and Mrs. William Duggan of Bernard, la., and Gertrude at home survive him.

The funeral was held today at Garry Owen, Rev. A. J. Walshe officiating.

The pall bearers were four sons and two grandsons, James, John, William and Joseph Lynch, Paul Lynch and J. P. Duggan.
