BELLEVUE, Iowa - Roland Ray Wiegert, 45, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Donatus, with Pastor Shane Koepke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from

3 to 8 p.m. today at Kingery-John C. Lemke Funeral Home, Bellevue. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Mr. Wiegert was a mechanic for Huss Implement in La Motte for 19 years and a dairy farmer all his life.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1961, at the Bellevue Memorial Hospital, son of Rita (Schlecht) and the late Raymond Wiegert. He graduated in 1980 from Bellevue High School.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in St. Donatus where he served on the council for many years.

His favorite hobbies were collecting toy tractors and restoring farm tractors.

Surviving are his loving mother, Rita Wiegert; a brother, Reynold Wiegert, of Bellevue; a sister, Rhonda (Mark) Hefel and a niece, Rachel Hefel, both of Epworth; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; his grandparents, Elmer and Mildred (Brown) Schlecht and Albert and Elda (Felderman) Wiegert.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
