Obituary

Mrs. McDonnell dies at Miami, Fla. return body to Iowa
Mrs. Wilfred McDonnell, 65, Miami, Florida, passed away Saturday, June 12 at the Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffmann Mortuary in Dubuque. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9-30 a.m. to St. Patrick's Church, Garryowen. The Rev. James Cassidy, pastor, will offer the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. McDonnell was born at Peosta, daughter of Patrick and Honora (O'Connell) Connolly. She was married in 1921 to Wilfred McDonnell and resided in the Bernard area until 1950 when they moved to Miami.

She was a member of St Patrick's Rosary society.

Survivors include her husband, Wilfred, two sons, Dorrance L., of Dubuque and Glenn W., Miami, Florida; one grandson, David McDonnell, one sister, Mrs. C. J. (Margaret) McDermott, Peosta, three brothers, Joseph Connolly, Key West, Vincent, Dubuque, and Albert of Farley.

Members of St. Patrick’s Rosary Society will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Hoffman Mortuary for recitation of the rosary.
