MRS. MELLOY DEAD

Well Known Resident Passes Away At An Early Hour This Morning

Mrs. Bridget Melloy passed away this morning at 3.40 o’clock at the residence of her son, Frank on Cardiff street. The deceased was born August 9, 1821 in County Donegal, Ireland, emigrating to this country 59 years ago. For 25 years the deceased resided in Benton, Wis., removing from there to Garryowen where she lived until the death of her husband 15 years ago. Since that time she made her home in Dubuque.

Six sons and three daughters survive her. They are Phil, Frank, William, Joseph of this city, and Cornelius and John of Jackson county, Mrs. Michael Feeney of Jackson county, Mrs. Michael Walsh and Miss Annie, of Washington township. The funeral will take place Sunday. Interment in Garryowen.
