Mrs. H. Moore, 69, Dies; Services Held Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Homer Moore, 69, of Hurstville were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Carson & Sons funeral home. The Rev. Forrest G. Clark of the Miles Methodist church officiated and interment was made in the cemetery at Canton. Mrs. Moore died Sunday morning at the Jackson County Public hospital following an extended illness.

As Florence Mae, Mrs. Moore was born Sept 4, 1883 in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Marion and Clara Anthony Ralston. On Jan. 29, 1901, she was married to Homer Moore, who survives her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six sons, Tom and Berdsall [Birdsall] Moore, both of Maquoketa, Lester and Louis of Canton, Ralph of Aurora, Ill., and Alfred Moore of Hale, Iowa one daughter Mrs. Fern Graham of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Bickford of Monmouth and Mrs. Lilly Sinkey of Central City, Iowa; three brothers, Will, and Eugene Ralston of Monmouth and Frank of Maquoketa; and thirty grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two children, a sister and three brothers proceeded her in death.
