Daniel Stack, a Veteran of Mexican War
Died at the Soldier’s Home
~
Daniel Stack, a former resident of Garryowen and a veteran of the Mexican War, died at the Soldiers’ Home in Marshalltown yesterday. The remains were shipped to this city and the funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 7 o’clock. Interment will be made in St. Theresa’s.

The deceased was 75 years of age and previous to becoming an inmate of the Soldiers; Home he resided at Garryowen, where he was well known. He is survived by seven sons, namely: John of Delhi, Ia.; Lawrence of Fort Dodge; Timothy, Daniel Edward and Thomas of Jackson County; also two daughters, Miss Ella Stack and Mrs. J. H. Brown, both of this city. The funeral will take place from the residence of G. Schollian, 260 Locust Street.
