At Garryowen
~
William Dunn, a laundry driver employee at the Home of the Good Shepherd, was found dead in his bed, Tuesday morning, about 6:30 o’clock, by his roommate who called him for breakfast. The body indicated that the man had been dead for at least six hours and that he had died as the result of apoplexy which overcame him some time in the night.

Mr. Dunn, when he finished his work, retired early Monday evening in apparently the best of health. His roommate, a young man also employed about the home, coming in some time later, states that he noticed the older man was breathing naturally and paid no attention to him. Tuesday morning when the young man awoke at 6:30 o’clock, he called to Dunn and receiving no answer, climbed out of the bed and went to the other bed.

He laid his hands on him as to awaken him, and was horrified to find that Dunn was cold in death, dissolution having occurred at least six hours previous to the finding of the body. The dead man, who was about 40 years of age, lived at Garryowen and immediately after the authorities were notified of the finding of the body the man’s relatives at Garryowen were notified. They arrived in the city Tuesday afternoon. Little was known of the dead man.
