Sabula, Ia. – Services for Fred J. Tillis, 65, retired farmer and a member of the town council, who died Monday morning at his home here, were scheduled for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the family home and at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church with the Rev. F. G. Clark officiating and burial in the Sterling Cemetery.

Tillis was born May 22, 1884 in Germany and in March, 1909 was married to Elsie Giddings.

He is survived by a son, Donald of Sabula, and three brothers, Henry of Sabula, and John and Arthur, of Charlotte.
