ACCIDENTAL DEATH
~
A Jackson County farmer, Michael Kilbord, who lived on his farm near Zwingle, about twenty five miles south of Dubuque, came to this city on Thursday last with a load of potatoes; having transacted his business, he started for home about 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Seven miles out of the city on his way home, he by some means fell from his wagon, the wheels of his vehicle passing over his breast. A gentlemen riding behind his wagon came to his assistance, and inquired if he was hurt, and Mr. Kilbord complained of a soreness around his heart, but said he was subject to heart disease. These where nearly the last words he uttered, and he died shortly after.

His remains were conveyed home. He leaves a wife and three children.
