MRS. BITTNER DIES JAN. 18

Mrs. Chester Bittner died Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Mercy hospital, Dubuque. She had been transferred from the Bellevue hospital a week previously.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m. at the Gallagher funeral home. Rev. Arnold Sommer officiated at the rites and at interment in St. John Lutheran cemetery at St. Donatus.

Pallbearers were A. N. Frank, Ed McCard, Art Griebel, Melchior Butlett, Larry Zimmer and Lorin Hager.

Born Oct. 4, 1886 in Tete des Morts township, she was the daughter of Diedrick and Caroline Nothdurft Hinke. She married Chester Bittner in 1922 at Dubuque.

Mrs. Bittner is survived by one son, Robert of Bellevue; and one brother, George Hinke of Maquoketa. Her husband, four brothers, four sisters and her parents preceded her in death.
