Bellevue Herald, January 24, 1911

The death of Mrs. Fritz Defries occurred on the 15th inst. at the home of her son, A. B. Defries, in Andrew. She was one of our oldest citizens, having past her 97th year. She was a devout Christian woman and her long life was worthy of emulation. Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Lutheran church.
