Bellevue, Ia. April 21 – Special: Julius Niemann, a former resident of Bellevue, died at St. Joseph’s Sanitarium, Dubuque, Friday at noon. He was born here on June 23, 1881 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Niemann. He graduated from Bellevue High School with the class of 1899 and then went to Philadelphia, where he took up nursing, following his chosen profession until his health failed. He had been in an invalid’s chair for four years. He was married to Miss Mollie Burke at Philadelphia on April 22, 1908.

The family had made Dubuque their home for the last five years.

The body was brought to Bellevue Friday evening and taken to the home of his aunt, Mrs. A. G. Kegler, and the funeral was held from there to St. Joseph’s Church Monday morning at 9 o’clock, Rev C. Rojeman of Aurora, Ill., a cousin, reading the requiem mass. Burial was made in the Catholic cemetery.

The casket was borne by M. P. O’Connor, P. J. Weber, G. J. Bittner, Frank Lucke, J. S. Schmitt, and J. G. Koppes.

Mr. Niemann was a member of the K. of C. and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Surviving are his widow, one son, Theodore, Dubuque, and one sister, Miss Emma Niemann of Aurora, Ill.
