Maquoketa, Ia. - -Services for Howard A. Hoffman, 61, who died Monday evening of a heart attack, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Congregational Church with the Rev. A. L. Eddy officiating, the body is at the family home on North Eliza Street.

He was born Oct. 7, 1887 near Delmar, son of Matt and Susan Hoffman. He was married June 22, 1922 to Laura Hicks.

He was a veteran of World War II and served in France. He was a member of the American Legion and IOOF Lodge. For the past 27 years he has made his home here.

Besides his wife he is survived by a brother, Harry, and a sister Mrs. Matt Raven, both residing in Delmar.
