MRS. EVA HALL, 88, DIED MONDAY, SERVICES FRIDAY
Mrs. Eva L. Hall, 88, died Monday at the Gilmore home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church, with the pastor, the Rev. Harry D. Green officiating. Burial will be in the Buckhorn cemetery.
The former Eva L. Crevlin was born Sept. 1, 1857, in Susquehanna county, Pennsylvania, the daughter of David and Mathilda Crevlin. She came to Iowa with her family when she was nine years old. On Dec. 21, 1881, she was married in Maquoketa to Lyman C. Hall, who preceded her in death in 1931. For many years she resided on a farm in the Buckhorn community, where she was active in the work of the old Goddard church, but following the death of her husband she lived at Maquoketa with a sister, Mary Jane Kauffman, who also preceded her in death. She was a charter member of the Buckhorn Community Guild.
Surviving are several nephews, Roy Kauffman, Milton, Walter and Arthur Goddard of near Maquoketa and Elmer and Martin Goddard of California, and a niece, Pearl Goddard of Madrid, Iowa and Jessie Stevens of Minneapolis.
