OBITUARIES

Stephen Schwager

Stephen Arnold Schwager, 28, was killed in a tractor accident at his home near Andrew at 9:00 a.m., Monday, May 22. Mr. Schwager was born December 16, 1921 in Jackson County. On January 30, 1945, he and Delores Hingtgen were united in marriage at Andrew.

Survivors are his widow and a daughter, Mary Jo; his mother, Mrs. Mathilda Schwager of Bellevue; brothers and sisters, Anton of Bellevue, Sylvester of Andrew, Alfred of Maquoketa, Vincent and Bennett of Bellevue, Sister Mary Stephen of Meier, Iowa, Sister Rose Paul of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Mrs. Edward Agnitsch of Baldwin and Wilfred Schwager of Bellevue.

Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Andrew with the Rev. DuPont officiating. Pallbearers were Elmer Weis, Joe Thies, Mike Thies, Sylvin Kenney, Charles Butterworth and Herman Thies.
