Maquoketa, Iowa

Mrs. Bertha Shady, 86, of Maquoketa died Monday at Finley Hospital in Dubuque.

Her husband, Robert, died Nov. 23, 1962.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Carson Funeral Home here, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the East Iron Hill Cemetery, near here.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Rockwell and Mrs. Claire (Geraldine) Morehead, both of Maquoketa; three sons, Carlyle "Jack" and Clayton, both of Maquoketa and Elmer of Farmersburg, Iowa; 20 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Frank and Herman, both of Delmar, Iowa, and Fred and John, both of Maquoketa.
