Obituary

Anjelina Harris was born in Queensbury, New York, October 22, 1812, and died in Maquoketa, Iowa, December 29, 1906, at the ripe age of 96 years, 2 months and 7 days.

She was united in marriage to George Tubbs in Queensbury, New York on the 4th day of April, 1838 and in 1845, she and her husband removed to Wisconsin, and thence to Iowa in 1854, and settled in Clinton County, about five miles south of Maquoketa.

Ten sons and four daughters were both to Mr. and Mrs. Tubbs, five of whom survive her. They are: Mrs. Williams of Janesville, Wisconsin, Hubert of Correctionville, Iowa, and Marvin, George and Willard of Maquoketa and vicinity.

Mrs. Tubbs was a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, until old age with its infirmities barred her from attending its services.
