Bellevue, Iowa

Joanne E. Felderman, 78, of Bellevue, died Monday evening, Oct. 27, 1997, at Manor Care Health Services, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Daniel Knepper officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Bellevue. (sentence omitted)

Joanne worked as an aide at the Andrew Jackson Care Center for many years, retiring in 1989.

She was born on Jan 26, 1919, in Green Island, daughter of Bernard, "B.F." and Florence (Rolling) Callaghan. She married Norman Felderman on April 20, 1950, at St. Jsoeph's Catholic Church, Bellevue; he died on Feb. 27, 1987.

After graduation from high school she attended the Sinsinawa (Wis.) College. She was a volunteer at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She dearly loved her grandchildren and followed all of their activities.

Surviving are a son, George (Mary) Felderman, of LaMotte; a daughter, Elizabeth (William) Hayes, of Darien, Ill.; four grandchildren, Jason and Julie Felderman and Jimmy and Bridget Hayes; three sisters, Rosemary (Dr. A. J.) Brizzolara, of Little Rock, Ark., Catharine Callaghan, of Independence, and Jeanne (Arnold) Goetz, of St. Paul, Minn.; and three brothers, John B. (Sally) Callaghan, of Bellevue, James D. (Mary Ellen) Callaghan, of North Platte, Neb., and Thomas J. Callaghan of Bellevue.
