Clifford "Bud" Merrick Sr., 57, of 122 N. Anderson St. died Tuesday night at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport, Iowa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Haylock-O'Hara and Kedley Funeral Home in Maquoketa, where the vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Surviving are his wife, the former Donna Rubel; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Candace) Hermes and Mrs. Richard (Pamola) Witt, both of Maquoketa, and Mrs. Darrell (Cynthia) Ernst of Bellevue, Iowa; two sons, Clifford L. Jr. and Richard, both of Maquoketa; 10 grandchildren; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Merrick of Maquoketa; two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Mueller of Sabula, Iowa, and Mrs. Donna Busch of Maquoketa, and a brother, Kendall of Maquoketa.
