Deceased Name: MARIE L. HEFEL

La Motte, Iowa - Services for Mrs. Marie L. Hefel, 64, 112 S. Eliza St., Maquoketa, formerly of La Motte, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, La Motte.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Ed Siegert-Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where there will be a parish wake service at 3:30 p.m. Friends also may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Sprank Center at the church.

Marie Streuser was born on Aug. 23, 1931, in La Motte, daughter of William and Margaret (Konrardy) Streuser. She died at 1:10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 1996, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

She married Leonard N. Hefel; he died on Dec. 24, 1976.

Surviving are two daughters, Ms. Patricia Hefel, of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Mrs. Vernis (Jolene) Orsborne, of Lost Nation; two sons, Leonard (and Susan) Hefel, of Maquoketa, and Steven Hefel, of Onslow; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanie Marie Hefel, on March 4, 1959; and a brother, Charles Streuser.
