Bellevue, Iowa

Raymond J. Kurt, 82, of 302 N. Seventh St. died at 2:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church here, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Gallagher Funeral Home here, where the rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Kurt was a director of the Andrew (Iowa) Savings Bank for the past 23 years.

Surviving are his wife, the former Edith Dirksen; four sons, John of DeWitt, Iowa, Richard of Tokyo, Japan, Gene of Bellevue and Jim of Lansing, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy) Scheckel of Springbrook, Iowa, Mrs. John (Lois) Kramer of Bellevue and Mrs. Gerald (Ruth) Byrne of Northbrook, Ill.; 25 grandchildren; three brothers, Dr. O. Edward Kurt of Detroit, Mich., Gregory of Des Plaines, Ill., and Rev. Edgar Kurt of Monti, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Roy (Olga) Wagener of Andrew.
