Robert J. Cavanagh, 55, of 105 N. Decker St. died Wednesday morning at Jackson County Public Hospital here.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Haylock-O'Hara and Kedley Funeral Home here, where the vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Surviving are his wife, the former Priscilla Riley; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Danielle) Spaete of Eldridge, Iowa, and Cind Cavanagh of Iowa City, Iowa; three sons, Dr. Timothy Cavanagh of Rockford, Ill., John of Des Moines, and Keith at home; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. James (Margaret Mary) Miller of Maquoketa and Mrs. Phil (Kathleen) Sams of Delmar, Iowa, and two brothers, Donald of Davenport and William of Delmar.
