MRS. G. L. STOCKHAM DIES; FUNERAL RITES HELD ON TUESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. G. L. Stockham, 64, of Maquoketa, who died Sunday at the Jackson County Public Hospital, were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the W. G. Carson & Son funeral home. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Ruth Peterson was born Sept. 12, 1898, in Clinton County, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Nina Bricker Peterson. She married G. L. Stockham on Oct. 9, 1917, in Maquoketa. Mrs. Stockham was a member of the Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, Mother's Club and Maquoketa O. E. S. Maple Leaf Chapter, where she was twice Worthy Matron.

She is survived by her husband; one son Robert of Maquoketa; one daughter, Mrs. William (Blanche) Nanini of Northfield, Illinois; three brothers, Roy Peterson of Toronto, Iowa, Ray Peterson of Maquoketa and Charles Peterson of Woodhull, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Beaton and Mrs. Hazel Hughes, both of Maquoketa; and five grandchildren.
