ALBERT HICKS

Albert Hicks, 23 years old and the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Calaway Hicks of Des Moines, passed away August 15th after a brief illness. Mr. Hicks, who formerly resided with his parents in Elwood, was married last Christmas to Miss Zoe Smola, a Maquoketa girl, and they have since resided in Des Moines where he was employed as an accountant.

Surviving besides his wife and parents, is one sister, Mrs. Ed Schoenthaler of Elwood. The remains were taken to the home of the sister in Elwood and the funeral services will be held this afternoon with burial in the DeWitt cemetery.
