Sarah H. Davidson was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, March 14th 1842 and passed away at her home north of Maquoketa, Iowa on March 17th, 1920, after a short illness. She came to this county when three years of age and was united in marriage to Patrick Sheehan, November llth, 1865. To this union were born ten children of whom eight survive: Patrick M., Nancy B., Lucy Ellen, Sarah, Elizabeth, of Maquoketa. Iowa, and Charles Monroe of Dubuque, Iowa, Mrs. Harvey Snodgrass and Porter B., of Presho South Dakota, Mrs. James Welch of Clinton, Iowa. Her husband preceded her in death March 29th 1905. Two sons, Willie passed away August 2lst, 1901 and Lauran September, 12th, 1916. 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild survive. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the M. E. Church, Rev. J. J. Kidder officiating. Interment was made at Mt. Hope cemetery.
