Thomas Howard, an old settler of Butler township, Jackson county, died at the family residence on Monday, December 1st, 1890. He was the father of Mrs. Ben Phillips and Mrs. William Bussard of Bernard, and Mrs. John Williams. He was a man highly respected in the community where he lived. The funeral took place at St. Patrick's church, Garry Owen, on Wednesday morning, the Rev. Father Kelly officiating.
