Sabula Deaths:
"Dec. 27, 1899-Early settler gone-Matt Hodson, one of the early pioneers of this locality, died at his home south of Sabula on Saturday. He was one of Sabula's early pioneers, and operated a ferry boat at this place for some time, and also engaged in the Saloon business. He was an old river man and has served in the capacity of mate on some of the raft boats. Mr. Hodson had been married three times and leaves a wife and 3 children and 2 stepchildren. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.”
