Died.GREEN.--Julia A. Green was born Oct. 14, 1828, at Dumpriest, Canada, and died at her home near Nashville, July 9, 1908, of the infirmities of old age. In the year 1850, she was married to D. S. Teeple and three years later they left Canada and came to Chicago and on to Maquoketa, and located on a farm near Nashville, where she had since resided. They were displeased with Chicago as there was not enough forests and when they drove into Maquoketa they found nothing here but log houses, owned by J. E. Goodenow. They were the proud parents of three children, two having died in youth and the one child, W. B. Teeple of Nashville and a sister, Mrs. Jane Haskell of Canada, are the only near relatives who survive to mourn the loss of an exceedingly sweet woman. Mr. Teeple died in March of the year 1875. Early in life she declared herself a christian and became a member of the First Methodist church and has ever been a very earnest and sincere worker.
Funeral services were held at the Buckhorn church, Sunday at 10 a. m. Rev. Wildermuth officiating with interment in Buckhorn cemetery.
