Eileen Galvin

Eileen A. Galvin, 78, of Lombard, formerly of Bellevue and Dubuque, Iowa, died Friday, April 21, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.

Visitation will be today, April 26, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Herb Essig officiating.

Mrs. Galvin was the wife of Richard J.; mother of Lu Ann, Patricia (Thomas) Giblin, Martin (Gina) and Paul (Kim); grandmother of five; sister of Mary Lou Abeln, Wilbert (Marilyn) Abeln; and aunt of 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth (Ann) and Richard; and sister, Virginia (the late Arnold) Ries.

Mrs. Galvin was a homemaker and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
