Deceased Name: Corinne L. Mottet

BELLEVUE, Iowa - Corinne L. Mottet, 73, of 502 State St., Bellevue, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 19, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen L. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, where there will be a scripture service at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1927, in Iowa City, daughter of Harry and Mina (Elliot) Morgan.

She married Edward Mottet on June 11, 1949, at St. Mary's Catholic Church Ottumwa. They lived in Ottumwa, Oxford and Cedar Rapids prior to moving to Bellevue in 1964, when they purchased the Mottet's Circle Food store. In 1973, the location and name of the store changed to Mottet's Jack and Jill.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and its altar and rosary society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Young Museum board and a former member of the Bellevue Library board. She was a lifetime member of the Jackson County Historical Society. Corinne enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, traveling and animals.

Surviving are her husband, Edward; three daughters, Marilynn (Bill) Harris, of West Des Moines, Nancy Brandon, of Bellevue, and Ann (Rick) Dickerson, of Kansas City, Mo.; four sons, Tom (Louann), Don (Donna) and Mark Mottet, all of Bellevue, and Paul (Diane) Mottet, of Florissant, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; two sisters, Velma Tompkins, of Boone, and Betty Louis, of Iowa City; and Jack Morgan, of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Tim Mottet; two sisters; and a brother.
