LA MOTTE, Iowa -- Lyle Frederick Wiegert, 66, of
La Motte, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at St. John Lutheran Church, St. Donatus, with the Rev. Shane Keopke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Bellevue. Friends also may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1945, on the family farm in rural La Motte, son of Henry and Alice (Duesing) Wiegert. He resided with his sister Arlice and family.

Lyle was a loving and caring person with a childlike innocence. He was always happy and extremely generous. He enjoyed helping on the farm and took great pride in every task he completed. Lyle spent his spare time in his favorite rocking chair, enjoying the Dukes of Hazard and Andy Griffith. His loving personality will be deeply missed.

Those left to honor his memory are his three sisters, Arlice (Aaron) Heacock, of La Motte, Charlene (Kenneth) Oberman, of Stillwater, Minn., and Ruth (Lloyd) Hingtgen, of Bellevue; 12 nieces and nephews, Gloria, Anita, Roger, Kenneth, Susan, Sherri, Brian, Jodi, Travis, Troy, Terry and Tammy; and 19 great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Henry Jr.
