Lawrence Sieverding
(January 10, 1935 - November 21, 2008)

Lawrence Sieverding, 73, of Bellevue, died Friday, November 21, 2008 at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 25 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue officiated by Father Stephen Meyer. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery where American Legion Post #273 will accord full military rites. Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 24 at Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home and again Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 until procession to the church.

Larry was born on January 10, 1935 in Bellevue, son of Lawrence and Lucille (Dempewolf) Sieverding. He married Janice Pfeiffer on April 4, 1959.

Larry was a mechanic, he owned and operated Sieverding Mobil Service for over 39 years. He was an honest hard working man who enjoyed being a mechanic and visiting with his customers and friends. He was a giving person who enjoyed spending time with his family. He took an interest in reading about war planes and WWII history. He served in the United States Army from 1954 - 1956.

Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Janice; three children, Craig (Joann) Sieverding, of Bellevue, Tracy (Pete) Saeugling, of LaMotte, and Terry (Louann) Sieverding, of Bellevue; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, Alex, Danielle, Brooke, Hannah, and Nicholas; three brothers, Jim (Linda) Sieverding, of Waukee, IA, Paul Sieverding, of Lynn Haven, FL, and Chuck Sieverding, of Dubuque; five sisters, Janet McFadden, of Oak Lawn, IL, Carol Armstrong, of Andrew, IA, Mary (Tom) McConaghy, of La Crosse, WI, Sue (Hugh) Engling, Onalaska, WI, and Marcy (Bob) Engelman, of Bellevue, IA; three brothers-in-law, Don (Marlys) Pfeiffer, Tom (Charlotte) Pfeiffer, Terry (Bonnie) Pfeiffer; and two sisters-in-law, Jean (Charles) Cole and Lois Neyens.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Ann; a brother, Francis; and a son-in-law, Galen Bahr.
