Viola J. Kueter
(June 19, 1911 - September 10, 2006)

Viola J. Kueter of Bellevue, Iowa passed away at her daughter's home in Schofield, WI, on September 10, 2006. She was 95 years old.

Viola was born to Conrad and Theresia Ernst on June 19th, 1911. She attended St. Joseph's High School and graduated as the class valedictorian in 1928.

Viola married Benjamin J. Kueter, of Bellevue, Iowa, on November 20, 1933. She was the mother of eleven children, and the grandmother of 28 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Viola was an accomplished pianist and quilter. She loved music, dancing, needlework, and most importantly, her family.

Viola is survived by her children, Carl (Diane) Kueter of Miles, Iowa, Jeannette (William) Booth, of Mankato, Minnesota, Marcelline (Donald) Schmieder, of Appleton, Wisconsin, Duane (Sharon) Kueter, of Oxford, Iowa, Dean (Cindy) Kueter, of Potomac, Maryland, Barbara (Robert) Zupancich, of Tomah, Wisconsin, Beverly Kueter of Dubuque, Iowa, Rosemarie (Gregory) Harrison, of Appleton, WI, and Julianne (Anthony) Fondell of Schofield, Wisconsin, and by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Benjamin, her daughter, Evelyn (Michael) Mullen, her infant son, Kenneth, her brother, Vernon Ernst, her sister Joan Wagner, and her infant brother and sister, Norbert and Rosalia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, on Saturday, September 16th 2006. The Rev. Fr. Stephen Meyer will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue.

A memorial fund has been established in Viola J. Kueter's name.
