We regret to learn of the death of Mrs. J. L. Johnson, at Newark, New Jersey, on the 4th inst. Mrs. Johnson was, for a short time, a resident of Maquoketa, her husband being the law partner and brother of our esteemed fellow citizen, attorney G. L. Johnson. She was an amiable, refined, and effectionate wife. We deeply sympathize and condole with Mr. Johnson in the loss of so estimable a companion.
