DEATHS-

Died-Nancy Caroline Edwards was born at Bethel, Ohio, September 21, 1818, and died at her home on South Niagara street, February 11, 1902, aged 83 years, 4 months, and 20 days. She was married to P. L. Carter in Ohio in 1869 and two years ago removed to Maquoketa where she has since resided and where her husband died in 1900. This union was blessed with nine children, two of whom, James and John, survive to mourn their loss. Services were held at home on Thursday at 1 p.m., and burial was at the Union cemetery, Rev. Boomershine officiating.
