Maquoketa Excelsior, September 13, 1901

Mrs. Margaret Taylor passed away at her home in Fairfield Township, August 26, 1901, aged 52 years. Margaret Powel was born in Mercer County, Pennsylvania and came to Iowa when but two years old. She was married to J. P. Taylor, June 10, 1864, and was the mother of thirteen children, six of whom with her husband survive her. The remains were laid to rest in the Andrew Cemetery.
