FAWNIE L. FIELDS-

Mrs. Fawnie L. Fields, 78, former Maquoketan, died Wednesday evening in a Cedar Rapids hospital. Since 1951 she has made her home with her son, William Conwell in Cedar Rapids.

Services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Carson Funeral Home, Maquoketa. The Rev. M. H. Nothdurft officiated and burial was made in the Streets cemetery. Mrs. Fields was born August 10, 1879, in Maquoketa, daughter of the late William and Mahalia Edwards Green. From 1939 to 1951 she lived in Bellevue.

In addition to her son, she is survived by a brother, Henry Green of Maquoketa, two grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her parents, three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
