Bellevue Leader, October 27, 1875

AN OLD CITIZEN GONE

Mr. Hugh McBride, an old and respected citizen, who has lived near a quarter of a century in Jackson County, died last Saturday in Bellevue at the residence of Mrs. McLease. He was seventy odd years old, and died as he had lived, an honest upright man. His funeral took place Sunday from St. Joseph's Church, Rev. Father Schiffmacher conducting the funeral ceremonies. A large and sad concourse of sorrowful friends followed his remains to their last resting place.
