TEEPLE.—At LeMars, Iowa, Friday,
> October 13th, 1876, of consumption, Miss Delia Teeple, of Nashville,
> Jackson county, Iowa. Aged 25 years.
> Miss Teeple was a daughter of Mr.
> Descomb Teeple, late of this county, deceased.
> She was born, and has always
> lived at Nashville, and was universally loved and esteemed. She was a
> graduate of Mt, Vernon, and a member of t he Baptist church, and
> teacher, organist and an active worker in the Sunday school.
> Being attacked with consumption, her
> mother, thinking a change of air would be beneficial, started with her
> for Colorado, stopping, on the way out, at Le Mars, where she gained
> in health rapidly, but thinking to effect a permanent cure she was
> taken on to Denver. Arriving there she began to sink rapidly, the air
> being too light for her enfeebled lungs, and with all possible speed
> her mother hastened with her towards home, stopping again at LeMars
> with Mr. Wm. McClintock, to whom the young lady was affianced, and
> where after a few weeks patient suffering she passed over the river.
> Her remains were brought home and consigned to the earth last Sabbath,
> being followed to their last resting place by almost the entire
> community. Her death leaves many a heart that is sad, but pleasant to
> these always will be the memory of her who was ever kind and cheerful
> in health, and patient to the last, and who died trusting in a better
> world to come, where those who are now so sadly parted again shall
> meet.
