Mathilda Gerlach

Mathilda Gerlach, 85, Route 3, Bellevue, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue.

Services were held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic church in Springbrook at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, with the Rev. Thomas E. Toale officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Herman Steines, Peter Sprak, Alvin Heiar, Allan Heiar, Wesley Heiar and Bob Heiar. Kingery-Gallagher Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Gerlach was born Feb. 26, 1900 in Bellevue to John and Lena Didier Heiar. She married Joseph Gerlach April 28, 1936 and lived and farmed in the Bellevue area all her life with her husband.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in March 1983, three brothers and five sisters.
