OBITUARY-

J. B. Jenkins, 93, died at his home in Apache, Oklahoma at 11 o’clock Saturday, December 21, 1940. Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church at 2:30 o’clock Monday afternoon by the Rev. T. T. Brown of Carnegie, who was assisted by Rev. S. A. Crouch. Burial was made at Fairview Cemetery, Apache.

Judson Bevin Jenkins, son of Rev. and Mrs. William Jenkins, was born in Jackson County, Iowa, on November 20, 1847. He was married to Mary Baker in Jackson County on November 20, 1872. He moved to White Lake, South Dakota in 1883, and during his residence there he was a member of the state legislature. In 1891 he took up his residence in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he resided until moving to Harrison County, Missouri, in 1896. In 1902 he moved to a ranch 9 miles west of Apache, Oklahoma, and 14 years later moved to Apache.

Surviving are his wife, one son, C. S. Jenkins, of Apache, one adopted daughter, Mrs. L. M. Myatt of Sparta, Tennessee, a sister, Mrs. Josephine Merritt of Maquoketa, and four grandchildren. A son, Donald died in Los Angeles, California, a few weeks ago.
