Jessie Bauman Dies at Draper, South Dakota
Word was received in Andrew last Saturday of the death of Mrs. Jessie Bauman at her home in Draper, South Dakota. Her death came as a great shock to her many friends in her former home as few people knew of her illness.
Jessie McMeans was born near Andrew, Iowa, June 19, 1878, and, with the exception of a few years which she spent in South Dakota, has always lived in the Andrew area. She was united in marriage to Fred Bauman of Draper, South Dakota, on January 18, 1916, where they have since made their home.
The remains arrived here Sabbath evening and the last tribute was paid her memory in her former home, on Monday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. Kidder officiating. Besides the grief stricken husband, there remains her aged father, two sisters, Mrs. Mina Baker of Andrew, Mrs. Nellie Bruce of Draper, South Dakota, and one brother, Roy, of Andrew.
