Funeral Service Held Wednesday for W. F. Davison

Funeral service for William Francis Davison, 72, who died Sunday at his home north of Maquoketa, was held Wednesday at Carson and Balster funeral home. Rev. Harry D. Green officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery.

The deceased was born may 4, 1875, at Salina, Kansas, a son of William and Ana Davison. He was married to Allie Belle Mathews in 1897 and their home for many years has been on a farm north of Maquoketa. He followed his chosen occupation until failing health several months ago compelled him to retire from active work.

Surviving are the widow and eleven children. Mrs. Thelma Irwin of Andrew, Mrs. Genevieve Thies and Mrs. Gladys Summers of Maquoketa, William, harry, Harold, Dale, Kenneth, Glenn, Frank and Lloyd, all of Maquoketa, Mrs. Stewart Groves of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Grace McPeak of Seattle, Wash., and 21 grandchildren.
