Dies Suddenly

Mrs. James Sutton died suddenly at the home in the First ward Saturday evening at eight o’clock. Mrs. Sutton had been an invalid for a long time, but had been in her usual health and nothing of this kind had been expected by her husband. She was sitting in her chair and her husband was calling a neighbor when the end came. The girl who had been reading a letter to her suddenly discovered there was something seriously the matter with the lady and immediately went for Mr. Sutton, and when they returned she was almost gone, passing away soon after their arrival. The deceased was 77 years old and this couple had been married for many years. They moved to this city from Fulton a year or two ago and both are well known throughout this part of the county, and the sorrowing husband and children have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. At the time of going to press arrangements had not been completed for the funeral on account of waiting to hear from a son in another state.
