Mrs. Mary Deppe, Widow of the late George Deppe, died in a Chicago hospital at 6 a.m. Saturday, following a short illness. Mrs. Deppe had gone to Chicago several weeks ago to make her home with her children for several months and was taken ill while there.

Mrs. Deppe was born Mary Wuerth in Bellevue, Feb. 3, 1876, and was a daughter of the late John and Angeline Hipschen Wuerth. Her marriage to George Deppe, contractor and builder, took place in Bellevue and they always lived here.

Mrs. Deppe was a member of St. Joseph’s and the Co-Workers. The survivors include three sons, Milton of New York City; Raymond and Wilfred of Chicago, and one daughter, Miss Cecelia Deppe, also of Chicago. Her husband and a daughter precede her in death four years. She also leaves two brothers, Joseph Wuerth of Decorah, and Vincent Wuerth of Ladysmith, Wis.

The body was brought to Bellevue Saturday night and taken to the late home on Fifth street and the funeral was held from there to St. Joseph’s church Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery.
