Dale A. Krabbenhoft, age 63, of Miles, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at his home in Miles. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Miller – Law – Jones Funeral Home in Preston, Iowa. Cremation rites will follow visitation. Burial will be in Reeseville Cemetery, rural Miles, at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in Dale’s memory.

Dale was born on January 9, 1946, in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Russell and Edna (Krumviede) Krabbenhoft. He graduated from Sabula High School with the Class of 1964. Dale served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1968. He married Diana B. Roling on September 25, 1971.

Dale and Diana owned and operated the 3D Ranch Saddle Shop in Miles and also farmed. Dale had also worked for ADM and Carlon in Clinton, Iowa. Dale loved horses, especially Appaloosa’s, and working in their saddle shop. He also enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing. Most importantly, Dale loved the time he got to spend with his grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his wife Diana Krabbenhoft of Miles, Iowa; one daughter, Deborah, and one step – daughter, Michelle; five grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley (Bob) Peters of Bellevue, Iowa.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Sharon Krabbenhoft.
