Mrs. Rachael A. Poole passed away at her home near Sumner, Washington, June 24, 1944, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and a few days.

A sister of Mrs. E. S. Dyas, Mrs. Walter Gifford of Dubuque and Alex Reed, also a cousin of the Lamborns and the late John Golding, she was born at the Reed home in Washington township, the daughter of Wm. H. and Catherine Reed.

She leaves one daughter Mrs. Emma Grove who lived with her and tenderly cared for her, two sons Dewey of Canada and Ralph of Spencer, Iowa. Her husband and one son preceded her in death.
