Sam H. Lamborn Goes to Reward

Funeral Services For Well-Known Resident Held Wednesday Afternoon.
--
The Grim Reaper claimed another well-known and highly esteemed retired farmer and citizen at 1:15 o'clock Monday morning when Sam H. Lamborn answered the last call. Mr. Lamborn had been in failing health for several years but had been confined to his home for only a few weeks.

He was born on April 9, 1869 in Washington Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Lamborn. On Oct. 9, 1901, he was united in marriage with Miss Lulu Bullerdick and the home was made on the farm near Green Island until 24 years ago when they retired in came to Bellevue to enjoy the fruits of their labors. For a number of years Mr. Lamborn made daily trips to his farm south of town. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Men's Fellowship of the Presbyterian church and enjoyed the friendship and respect of a large circle.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, one sister, Mrs. Catherine Powers of an Emmetsburg, three brothers, William of Farmington, Charles of Green Island and Robert of Preston; also a number of nieces and nephews.

The body reposed at the Kempter-Egelhof Funeral home until the hour of the service at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church when the Rev. Laurence Nelson officiated. The members of the Bellevue Lodge No. 51, A. F. & M. attended the services in a body and several hymns were sung by a quartet composed of Mrs. George Beeler, Mrs. W. G. Stuart, Ben Janssen and Wilbur Dyas. The remains was borne to the last resting place by Lester Krabbenhoft, Omer Burnett, Charles Cheney, Omer Efferding, H. W. Anderson and Carl F. Harstick. The floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Wilbur Dyas, Mrs. Mina Gibbon, Mrs. A. G. Esfeld and Mrs. Anna McGowan, all members of Circle I.
